Dental Practice Management Software in Vietnam

Nexus DentaSoft is an AI-native dental practice management platform built for Southeast Asia, including clinics in Vietnam. This page summarizes who it is for, three regulatory deadlines every Vietnamese dental clinic should know, and what Nexus DentaSoft actually does.

Who this is for

This page is for foreign-owned or foreign-managed dental clinics, clinic groups, dentists trained abroad now practising in Vietnam, and anyone evaluating dental practice management software for the Vietnamese market. It is a short overview, not a market report.

Vietnam's dental clinics operate in cities including Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, and other provincial centres, under the same national regulatory framework described below regardless of location. This page is an independent English-language overview, not a translation of the Vietnamese pillar pages it links to — for full detail in Vietnamese, follow those links.

Nexus DentaSoft also publishes a country overview for Thailand. Also available: Thailand

Three legal deadlines every Vietnamese dental clinic must know

Three deadlines, set by Vietnam's Ministry of Health and Government, apply to dental clinics as care facilities. Each is summarized here and covered in full, with official sources, on the corresponding Vietnamese-language page.

Electronic prescriptions — mandatory since January 1, 2026

Circular 26/2025/TT-BYT makes electronic prescriptions mandatory for all care facilities in Vietnam, dental clinics included, since January 1, 2026. A prescription issued on paper alone is no longer sufficient.

Electronic medical records — by December 31, 2026 for non-hospital facilities

Circular 13/2025/TT-BYT requires electronic medical records at hospitals by September 30, 2025, and at other care facilities — including dental clinics — by December 31, 2026.

E-invoicing — Decree 70/2025/NĐ-CP, effective June 1, 2025

Decree 70/2025/NĐ-CP, effective since June 1, 2025, amends Decree 123/2020/NĐ-CP on electronic invoices, including rules for invoices generated from cash registers connected to the tax authority.

This is a summary for context, not legal advice. Each deadline, and its official government source, is covered in full on the Vietnamese-language page it links to.

What Vietnamese dental clinics need from software

Beyond the three compliance deadlines above, a dental clinic in Vietnam typically needs:

  • A Vietnamese-language interface, for clinics with Vietnamese and international staff.
  • Accounting in Vietnamese dong (VND).
  • Integration with a licensed e-invoice provider connected to the tax authority.
  • An e-prescription workflow built into the patient record, not a separate step.
  • Patient records that meet the electronic medical record transition described above.
  • Data protection aligned with Vietnam's Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) No. 91/2025/QH15.

Nexus DentaSoft in Vietnam

Nexus DentaSoft brings patient records, treatment planning, imaging, prescriptions, invoicing and accounting into one platform, so the three deadlines above are handled inside the same record instead of three separate tools:

  • Electronic prescriptions issued directly from the patient record, with medication, dosage and instructions drawn from the file.
  • Electronic invoices generated from the accounting module for each billed procedure.
  • Doctor AI answers clinical questions grounded in the patient's own file, not a generic textbook.
  • Imaging with Nexus SmartView and accounting live in the same patient record.
  • Each clinic's data lives in its own sealed space enforced at the database level (row-level security), encrypted in transit and at rest, with role-based access.

E-signature and e-invoicing services integrated through solutions provided by Viettel.

Nexus DentaSoft is published by Smilesoft Systems (Thailand) Co., Ltd. Pricing is shown on the homepage, quoted in Thai baht or Vietnamese dong depending on your plan.
